Mini-itx Bmw Pc Project

bmw pc

here’s another car hack project which has helped me figuring some stuff as far software and hardware goes, pretty slick stuff and doesn’t cost as much as many of the after-market systems out there. and on a side note, this is way way cooler (and better) than the “ipod your bmw” things apple is pimping.

  1. Yeah I remember reading another mod that was basically the same idea as this, except the computer sits in the back in your trunk. The problem with this is that you don’t really have access to the box while you’re driving. The only other mod that would be nice to have on here is to have wifi setup so you could connect and upload files to the box when your car is on the driveway or something. Just a suggestion :)

  2. its just too bad its a PC thing. I would really like to see a similar system with a Mac soon. The only Mac installation was the old big box deal (Chez i think) you guys talked about on engadget a while ago. Maybe that could be a hack of the day one of these days… an updated version of the in car Mac.
