You do not need to set max requests any higher than 8 (this is the max).

If you set it to 30 or whatever it will not make any difference.

There is an error in this artical, that isn't huge but i see it across the internet and i think people need to realize their mistake. The error lies in network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.

When you turn on pipelining this is the key that controls how many requests at a page it makes, so if you set it to 1, pipelining would be off.

However The maximum setting for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests is 8. Setting it to anything higher would result in it defaulting to 8. This is also a case where higher is not always faster. More info here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

This works very well! Not only on Firefox, but on Netscape as well!

One word of caution; there are a few sites which only allow one stream at a time, and will ban multiple streams. If you frequent these sites, the pipeline: true will get you banned many times over.

Be careful of that.

to all of you guys. the truth is when the server sites are nearly at your place. they load fast. Internet at the same time is like a bunch of cars, motorcycles, and other automobile than that runs back and forth…just think…only avoid traffics…..
