The less delay the better. You can make a .reg file to switch Nagle’s on (default, for higher downloading speed) and off (for less delay). Registry editing can mess up your system if you change things incorrectly so you will have to research Nagle’s yourself.

The error lies in network.http.pipelining.maxrequests.

When you turn on pipelining this is the key that controls how many requests at a page it makes, so if you set it to 1, pipelining would be off.

However The maximum setting for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests is 8. Setting it to anything higher would result in it defaulting to 8. This is also a case where higher is not always faster. More info here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
