Hello I just Got a sidekick 1 at a yard sale it has a 3 digit code lock on it the Privacy lock , anyone know how to unlock the 3 digit code on the sidekick 1. PLease Help or email me at mtvpublicity@yahoo.com
for ringtones guys just convert mp3s to wav’s and send them to ur email.As long as its less then 300kb itll play as ur ringer. U can edit the sizes of the wavs with windows sound editor and just cutting it to your desired size. Hope this helps. I do all my ringers its easy!

u can shorten the size of the file using windows sound editor. It may not be able to get the whole song.

I think there is no way to email urself songs and use them as ringtones..If there is can someone put it step by step…i even edited to shorten the file and it still was 2 large.the song was only 10 seconds..and when u have a sound u cant use it as a ringtone..the person tha put that up i think itz a spoof..

I just found out that dangerzone is coming out with a new hiptop OS. its ver. 2.3 and it lets u use javascript. it should be in about a month or 2. they r testing it out now.

well i recevied the 2.3 ota last week its pretty nice visable changes are that the phone icon is different, it has javascript now, when ever u take a picture u can see a new loading screen, able to use pictures u take as a screensaver now, a sim center , and on AIM you can now view Buddy Icons and the away messege right next to the screen name, and how long they have been idle
good looking out sherman but what I would like to know is if you were able to like download video clips and songs, were you able to get ringtones off of other sites. and what’s a sim center. also do you have any idea when its gonna be sent to everybody.

you can’t request it, you have to wait just like the rest of us. the people who did get it were part of a test group, from what I hear it should be out in about a month or two. till then we have to wait.

I was on my SK2 couple of weeks ago and went into a chatroom (you know by holding down menu+shift, or menu+shift+j), and as soon as I got in the room I some how “left the chatroom”, but I knew I did no such thing, so I tried to go back in that very same room again: and it happened again! The third time I went in and typed: “I know you jackasses are booting me, and I’m going to find out how” One of the jackasses said no you won’t, and once again I was kicked out of the chatroom.
I wasn’t upset, but I was trying to find out how the hell do people know how to boot a person on their SK! That’s cool, does anyone know how to? Someone said if your the first in a SK chatroom then you can boot ppl, uh yea that nice, but once I’m in an empty chatroom and ppl start coming in what are the codes to kick them out?
If anyone has the answer: let me know: I’m racking my brain thinking of ways to learn this cool trick!

Hey yo I found out how to get da sk2 new software u just got to call up hiptop and say ur phone malfuncton and that it says replace software and then they say turn ur phone off for 24 hours and then restart it and they don’t give u the old shit they give u the new one and for that’s that don’t want to it comes out next month on the 15
Yo dis upgrade is hot it has the chat rooms built in so u aint got to type the name in and yahoo u can download files and view web cams and java script works and u can download software from the net but it don’t let u download music by its self u got to download like a music software thing like kaaza or limewire and they upgrade the space on ur phone so u can have more ringtones and files to download games and stuff and u can use ur camera to use as a web cam and show people

sorry for the delay mel but in responce to your questions the sim center has options for you to transfer the contacts on your simcard directly to the phone, it also has a guard to block certain numbers you allow to be blocked so it can not be called out from your phone. and nope you can not watch videos nor play any music filetypes thats whats sucks lol, and to the other people who was wondering when they are gonna get the ota 2.3 well only certain people got this cause this was a test run only about 5000 or so people actually receavied it, till the end of october or mayb even mid november is when most or hopefully all sidekick users will then receave there ota 2.3 update. ok byebye
