Keep the links coming in (Seriously, I’m hurtin’ here)
Looks like the skull and crossbones is the new pink. Maybe we should make our logo look like Mr. Yuk to stay ahead of the curve.
FedEx furniture was bouncing around the blogs a couple months ago. Apparantly the company doesn’t want to furnish your apartment. The correction at the end is kinda funny.
Have you checked out the BlackDog Linux usb computer. I think it would come in pretty handy for those of you headed back to school and their inadequate labs.
Last weekend some HAM enthusiasts tired for a WiFi long shot with a weather ballon. It didn’t work so well (they think it was swinging too much) but they’ll be trying again. Good luck! [ed3]
A DS homebrew contest held by the Neo Flash team recently concluded. You can download the thirty entries over at MaxConsole.

Do you think the feds picked up any new recruits at Defcon? [Bucky]
NetBSD toaster, Hack-A-Day stringer Richard saw it in person [via the Inquirer][jesse off]
If your state isn’t overcast like mine, make sure you catch the Perseids tonight.
That flash based-usb headless comp is pretty cool, would be nice to know if you can run your own choice of distro though, maybe even have a larger capacity like 1 gb and i’ll drop my laptop in a heartbeat for it
dude, paul frank has been using that design since 99, you guys are just behind the times.
Forget the netbsd toaster… when you can have IntelliToast!

forget that blackdog crap
just get:
1. damn small linux (DSL)
http://damnsmalllinux.org/index.html
2. a usb thumbdrive
3. read about how DSL can run inside windows
http://damnsmalllinux.org/usb-qemu.html
4. realize blackdog isn’t worth it
5. decide that a more cost effective option would be to DIY
6. head to DSL forums and get yo learn on
Rimmer, look! It’s Talkie toaster!
i really like damn small… especially the concept of MyDSL. i used to use it at school all the time. its small enought to fit into ram *easily* so i’d just pass the disc around the room and we’d party.
with linux.
yeah.
paul frank has been using the skurvy for many a years now. ive been rocking pink vans paul frank editions for two years now with a rocking skurvy on em. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/kidxdanger/S3010008.jpg check em out.
black dog *might* be worth it for a slower computer. i did set up dsl on a thumbdrive, but i gotta say… qemu on an older lappie (233 mhz pentium; don’t laugh, you!) is no black dog. it’s just a dog!
Darnit, Kiddanger. Stole What I Was About To Say!! Oh Well. Just Want To Say Keep Up The Good Work.
man, i wonder if you can get those slip-ons in pink?
Yes you can add your own distro and the Blackdog has an SD/IO reader for storage expansion and the 50,000 dollar bounty and 5,000 dollar bug hunt doesn’t suck either. It’s a whole computer that fits in one hand and takes over the KVM of the host and no reboot is required and it doesn’t use host memory or processor. Nothing else does this this clean or comes close, it’s damn cool.
