Don't overlook your local surplus outlets as sources for screen material. Many colleges and large businesses sell their surplus equipment, either from storefronts and auctions or online. I once bought a roll-up projector screen in perfect condition for only $30.

wow, i just had to comment on how awesome the site has been the past few days-- things are picking up around here! keep up the awesome work guys, and bravo to the new hack a day contributers- top notch writeups and roundups.

something to cover (again) would be cat5 to vga... mabye a homemade balun to increase the range of the cable and eliminate ghosting.
