The cable tester works fine in a pinch to find broken wires (I’ve used something similar), but I found this one by Bruce Marcus http://www.atomiccomputers.com/projects/cat5t/index.html to be more informative. Especially when I’m building my own cables or trying to fix “the other guy’s” fine work.
was that hire a killer thing for reals? I thought it was fake at first but, now after reading all the FAQs and what notm I am not too sure. If it was a joke, thats too funny. If not, it is just a wee bit creepy.
I requested a quote from the hire-a-killer people. Let’s see how they respond ;)

I have to agree with what #7 said about the podcast. I do not usually listen to podcasts, but the few that I have heard have this problem. I havn’t heard the hack a day podcast yet, so I can’t speak for it, but from the podcasts that I have listend to, it makes me wonder what is so hard about scripting the show first. And get a good audio editor too, so you don’t have to do it all in one take. I probably shouldn’t say anything more until I listen to the podcast though.
#7, it’s called a joke. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that your podcast is not one for comedy. Let’s try and keep it that way. However, I do agree with the echoing and preparation for the podcast.
