  1. So, I already know that at 41 and a non-gamer, I’m a sort of hopeless troglodyte. Still, urbandictionary usually lets me keep up with all the newfangled lingo the kids keep coming up with. It has really never failed me.

Until I looked up “portal gun.”

      1. I think his issue was more if you look up “portal gun” on urbandictionary the only result is for a sexual act in which a person receiving anal sex imitates having a portal in his buttocks.

      1. Somebody got edited?

I’m fine with the portal gun build/hack, and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of fun ones coming along, as there always are.

It was urbandictionary’s definition of “portal gun” that gave me a chuckle.

  2. Videos are not my cup of tea, I don’t have the time to watch them. Couldn’t you dedicate some resource to improving the written content – technically as well as editorially (spelling, grammar and style)?

    1. I like these videos, there’s nothing wrong with them.

If you have the time to read an article, you surely have the time to skim a short video?

      1. I can skim an article in 10-20s. To extract the useful content from a video takes substantially longer because it’s not random-access in the way a written document is. I also have an intense personal dislike of the medium because I am deaf, and the soundtracks/subtitles are poor in this genre.

    1. Yeah, this is probably one of the least impressive things the site has ever run, but it gets the most traffic because it’s based around something big in gamer culture.

But I guess if it brings more traffic to the site and provides the funding to do more interesting projects, we can’t complain too much.

  3. I blame my mild OCD for pointing out that the Portal Gun, in game universe, does not levitate things — that was Half Life 2’s Gravity Gun. But, of course, nicely done.

  4. And guess what? He jumped into a closed portal because the red one was NOT opened yet … And you say you like portal? :>

anyway: Nice build! I’d like to see the build of that gun too!

  5. Heya i’m for the first time here. I came across this board and I in finding It really helpful & it helped me out a lot. I am hoping to offer something again and help others such as you aided me.
