Hackerspacing in Europe: Conclusion

tour copy

Wow! What a trip. In just over one week we travelled nearly 2000 km and visited 13 hackerspaces in 10 different cities in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. However that was only the tip of the iceberg — there were dozens more hackerspaces in the area, and we wish we had the time to visit them all! The hospitality of the hackerspaces was amazing. Thank you so much to all the spaces we visited! If you missed some of tours, you can see the them all here.

Great articles – it could be cool if a comparison could be drawn between American and European hackerspaces. Well, if there is a difference at all :)

You might want to have a look at this video before referencing The Netherlands as Holland. ;)

The hackerspace Euro tour was fantastic! I’d love to see maybe a database/ map of hackerspaces, worldwide. This could make it easier for people to find a hackerspace in their local area. Maybe have profiles, too?

  8. Next time you should also come over to Vienna and visit the metalab!
