you might have a pocket pc, or can pick one up for under $100 on ebay, with that, along with a robosapien (usually under $100) you’ve got yourself a good hack project. the api (click the read link, bottom of the page) is so the pocket to communicate via ir to the robosapien. should be a lot of fun.

You can design the body form and take the motor part into another part.. then use the remote control from the computer transfer to command whatever you wanted to have the bot do… It can create a pattern step by step in just one command. for example, having the bot to dance and sing “Jiggle Bell Jiggle Bell Jiggle all the way!” Lol…

There is a free app that allows you to use your computer mouse on your pocket pc when it is in its cradle. Remote Keyboard http://www.trancreative.com/rkb/

defiantly a good hack, however people not willing to buy a Pocket PC, PDA could use other measures… I am a robosapien hacker, and recomend you check out my website on other hacks of controlling Robosapien.
I added a IR/RF/IR Extender so i could control from any room with either his Controller/ USB/uirt Device or my Pocket PC
this mod i did not have to remove his arms since the weight was minor, I also too kthe pre cautions of buying a DC/DC converter so i could use the power on the robot to actually power this new modded device on him (saving alot more space) make his balance 95% originally out of the box

I have wanted to do this hack, but what holds me back is the balance issue. If they didn’t have to cut off most of the arms to make the robot walk right, this would be an awesome hack…
