I’ve been having fun with the newsletter, and we have over 2500 people subscribed. Up to this point they have mainly just been composed of information about the videos I’m making. I’m going to change that this week. The emails will now also have 10 random hacks, probably the most popular hacks that week. Maybe something from the past of hackaday. It all pretty much just depends on what people end up enjoying. You’ll find the sign up form here, or over there –> in the side bar.
I’m going to keep this extremely informal. I’ll let you know what projects I’m working on, and share some hacks with you. Sign up if this sounds like something you’d enjoy! I plan on sending out 1 to 2 emails per week.
I’ve been looking for a random hack button on the hackaday site, is there one?
I second this motion!
I use a bookmark with a it of javascript in it. http://pastebin.com/5bqcYz5q you can get it here. I didn’t create it, and don’t remember who did, so credit to the eternal ghost man in the cloud.
This?

Yea that looks like the same code to me, credit to Tech B. (http://forums.hackaday.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1330#p7996)
only 2500 subs? It is the only sub I actually read when it arrives
Well I didn’t even know it existed until i read this, so i signed up just now. Must’ve missed it when it was first announced.
Will there be content on the newsletter not featured in rss, etc? I prefer my inbox uncluttered – i have twitter and rss HaD feeds,
a little bit. Such as an occassional list of hacks that happened this week in the past or something. Nothing major, no big news stories.
I’d like something like a rss feed, which only gives me the “best” hacks of the week. (like the weekly roundup has)
Or is there a way to filter from the normal rss only the weekly roundup? (Windows + Firefox + Addon ‘Brief’ for RSS)
whoa, just be clear, the weekly roundup is the list of hacks that weren’t quite fit enough to get their own post! Either they didn’t have enough information or we’ve just seen a billion of them or something.
Hey Caleb!
Will you be attending/covering the KC Maker Faire this year?
