Due to uncertainties about the progress of the spread of the novel corona virus, it’s with a sad heart that we announce that we’re postponing the 2020 Hackaday Belgrade conference.
We will be rescheduling for later in the year, but for now we’ll be refunding conference tickets. We received a record number of incredible presenter proposals, and once we’ve rescheduled, we’ll get in touch with everyone who entered a proposal to check up on your availability.

We know how much you were all looking forward to Belgrade in May, and it pains us to have to take this step. When we get more details ironed out, we’ll be sure to let you know! See you all a little bit later in the summer?

Definitely the right decision. I was quite flippant about concerns over the virus in the comments on the initial announcement, but my opinion has definitely evolved on the matter.

Also, VCF:PNW is canceled, and has been moved online
Could not just make it online (big video call with everyone ) and ship the badges my mail in advance ? Eventually the badge could have a UV light to self sterilize. Especially considering that we all need to say home for quite some time a big online social event will be welcome.
I have even e better idea: An online game world where our avatars will attend the conference and bump in to other people and eat virtual snack and so on.

Nope. The whole idea of this conference is face-to-face gathering.
I would prefer to keep the ticket rather than getting money back – if possible. That way – no need to buy ticket again once the new day is set.

We’ll probably leave refunds open for a while after we announce the new date, to allow folks to hold on to their old tickets without having to worry about conflicts.
Will there be a chance for people to grab a ticket for a rescheduled date ?
