When you see $125 off something you probably assume it cost several times that to start with. Nope, this drastic discount leaves just $25 plus shipping. Use coupon-code: 2JLP-R4XRT3 when ordering the little rover. There’s a quick video snippet of it embedded after the break.
What you’ll get is a Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller on a board with a bunch of goodies.
- MicroSD slot
 - USB host and device connectors
 - I2C audio with speakers
 - Ethernet connector
 - 96×6 OLED display
 - Motors
 - Optosensors
 - Bump detectors

As always, we want to hear about the hacks you come up with once you have this little guy in hand.
[update, the code is now expired]
[final update — Someone from TI explains what is going on.]
—- from the comments.
As some posts already note, the coupon code is only available to ESC Boston attendees. That said, we’re psyched about all of your interest and understand there seems to have been some confusion, so TI plans to fulfill all of the finalized orders to date. We’re working on some logistics in getting the code up and running again for ESC Boston attendees, but proof of ESC registration will be required. Stay tuned.
We hear you about the e-store and are working as quickly as possible to avoid issues in the future. Thanks for your patience.
Bottom line – we’re glad to see the excitement around EVALBOT and look forward to checking out your projects! We encourage you to share them on our e2e Forums at http://e2e.ti.com/

Recevied mine (order #6976) yesterday. Thanks TI!
Got mine this past Friday. Very cool of TI to honor those coupons for the non-ESC Boston people. Very neat design, and I’ll looking forward to learning more about it. And thank you to TI’s Jean Anne Booth for the messages here. I might have wanted it much sooner, but I’m happy and delighted to receive it at all at such a steep discount.
Order 5868 shipped on Jan 27th, just like they said.
Yay, I received my evalbot, all the way to Turkey! Order 6626!
Thanks TI!

7040 is finally here!!!
Yay! :)
Mine finally arrived today. #6970 to Norway
Received mine yesterday, assembled it and one motor is dead :(. I have emailed TI. I hope they replace the broken motor.
Mine arrived last week, #6696. Hats off to TI for coming through and honouring the coupon, they’ve made a lot of friends!
I’m having a ball with the evalbot, and working through getting the interfaces working. Ethernet is easy – the Stellaris code works immediately. USB Host operation is more tricky as the evalbot hardware is slightly different to that assumed by the Stellaris code. I’ve managed to get it working though. I recommend you go to the bulletin board at http://ti-evalbot.proboards.com/ where code and tips are being shared by the community.
My one-motor-defective one was sent for RMA and got my replacement one.
Hats off to TI!
They had a series of “Lunch’nLearn” throghout the country and there was one in Seattle too. I didnt go, but the local reps just dropped one off today. am excited about playing with it.
Well are they all gone? do’h, should have gotten up earlier :)
