man, oh, man–i love when you’re working on a hack and then see someone else do it and figures out stuff you didn’t think of. i had been using my ibook with the external bluetooth dongle, but was thinking of putting one internally in the ibook, this hack shows you how to do this. the only downside with this is the usb port can’t be used for anything else, i think another way might be to solder in a small usb hub then add the bluetooth inside.
i’m planning to add some leds to some mice soon and was looking around for a guide to cracking open an apple pro mouse, and here it is. the upcoming project will add lights to just about any mouse, not that it’s needed, but hey, why not.
if you ever wanted to do a really really weird hack, here’s one of the oddest ones. the good news is, you don’t need to crack up your xbox to do this, it’s all software, the end result is an xbox running apple’s mac os x.

i had an old nes in the basement and was thinking of making a pc case out the nes unit, but then i googled around saw there was a kit you could get to solder up a usb joystick for macs and pcs out of the old nes controller. grab some emulators and you’ve got some up down a b select start action.
