A device like the Jetson Nano is a pretty incredible little System On Module (SOM), more so when you consider that it can be powered by a boring USB battery. Mounted to NVIDIA’s default carrier board the entire assembly is quite a bit bigger than something like a Raspberry Pi. With a huge amount of computing power and an obvious proclivity for real-time computer vision, the Nano is a device that wants to go out into the world! Enter these accessories.
At their core is an easily printable slot-and-tab modular interlock system which facilitates a wide range of attachments. Some bolt the carrier board to a backplate (like the gardening spike). I always have to laugh so hard when I see things like this, with circuit boards sitting outside in a yard or whatever.
Have they ever actually tried to deploy something outdoors? Does it never rain where they live?
It is obvoiusly not meant for being permanently mounted and just a porototype thingy. Isn’t that uhm, obvious? Sure, it will never meet all use-cases, but that way it is super portable and still meets a lot of use-cases.

weatherproof junction boxes are like $10-$25 at the hardware store. Some of them have some nice punch outs for cables. A little epoxy to fill the gaps around the wires. Superglue and baking soda if you have very small gaps to fill. (or if you crack the case when modifying it which I’m always doing on my projects)
Pro tip: 2-part epoxy doesn’t usually bond to the sticky side of tape, so wrap up with painters tape if you need to fill an odd shape.
