in the effort of getting all the tivo hacks up here, this is one sent in (thanks everyone) is a cook book on upgrading a stock sa2, adding more hard disk space, second drives, or getting command line access and tivoweb running on it. it’s not for the advanced hardcore folks, but a good start. if you have other ones, send them in or post’em up!

Movies On An Ipod Photo
here’s the ipod-photo-movie-hack that is making the rounds. some of you sent some emails when it appeared on g4tech tv’s the screensavers as well as a couple other places like /. it’s nothing spectacular, just exporting a lot of images from a movie and importing them back in. old trick, all the way from the newton days. you can of course get a real portable video player like an iriver. any way, at the end of the article is some stuff i’m working on with goggles + the ipod photo.
Installing Windows Xp, Service Pack 2, With 1 Cd
integrating the service pack (the process is called slipstreaming) should be the way windows ships, but for now you can make your own…man, i could have used this 10 times already after i’ve needed to rebuild some of the test computers around here–install windows xp, service pack 2, with 1 cd. super handy, and worth the effort.
